The National Trust of Australia (Queensland) acquired Wolston Farmhouse and a small area of land surrounding it from the Queensland Government in 1963.
By that time the house was in a very dilapidated condition.
The visitor experience has now been enhanced with the Visitor Centre and the Tea Terrace Cafe including a number of changes giving more depth to this experience.
We are all living decades longer than we once did, and are staying fitter, healthier (and in some cases, friskier) further into our wisdom years than ever before.
This reinforces a message that young people get hammered with on a daily basis: nothing matters more than how you look.
We’d be lying if we said that appearance wasn’t important at all to the over-55 demographic, but it turns out to be a much lower priority.
Wolston Farmhouse is now open from Friday to Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm, and we look forward to welcoming you to experience Wolston Farmhouse. Spend the day at Wolston Farmhouse wandering through this beautiful heritage property and enjoy a delectable Farmhouse Tea.
Our Farmhouse Tea includes farmhouse sausage rolls, a selection of finger sandwiches, house-baked lemonade scones, petit fours as well as your choice of tea or coffee.
Hidden in the bustling fringe of Brisbane’s outer suburbs is a nineteenth-century rural gem now known as Wolston Farmhouse.
